Yeah, we're getting used to it, but neither of us had experienced THAT before! We've decided the Drew is right and we're getting a double dose of general gunfire, being on the creek. It freaks us out some the first time bc well, I'm from the country and B is from the burbs. Although, once (in the country), my mom was standing next to her dog and the dog actually caught a bullet- they never figured out from where! I'm sure we're safer here and that when we do hear guns, it's much farther than we thought! We heard mostly roman candles, but also closer gunfire than we've heard before...of course, we knew it was all benign, falling bullets aside!
Next year, you guys are coming over and we're going to listen to the sounds of bullets ricochet off of creek walls! :)
